PICME

Services

  • The intention of PICME is to ensure that all areas of European process
  • manufacturing take place at a world-best standard of excellence by;
  • - benchmarking against a data base of 3,500 previous (world-wide)investigations
  • - identifying gaps against acknowledged world-class on this basis
  • - leading,
  • - facilitating long term improvement including technical & operational change

Specialist Application Sectors

  • All areas of Process Manufacturing - Batch & Continuous
  • Recent successes in;
  • - Chemical& Chemical Products
  • - Rubber & Plastics Products
  • -Pharmaceuticals
  • - Food & Beverage

Experience Profile

Recent assignments in the above areas have followed a pattern of comparing key manufacturing parameters for the application type against known world-best data held in the PICME data base. This leads to the ceation of a Gap Analysis whereby the manufacturer may assess where he needs to improve performance. In most cases , subsequent remedial activities have included deployment of the Masterclass approach(above) by which means the operational team develops increased awareness of key parameters , under their control, and strives to increase performance accordingly.

Assignments are uusually undertaken on a progressive basis, starting with Benchmarking and Gap Analysis. This is followed by remedial measures.

Specialisms and Other Factors

PICME focuses its attention on the effiency of the manufacturing process itself, but in the holistic sense. Thus the benchmark parameters used will address both on-plant equipment and personnel performance; also,the status of interacting economic and environmental parameters (etc) such as stock levels and waste streams/reject materials.

Size and Location

PICME is an SME operation and is owned by the Uk Chemical Industries Association (which is itself an SME)
